Story About A Girl and Her Blog

Hi, I'm Angela and welcome to my blog! Thank you for visiting!
If you want my entire life story in great detail - because of course you have so much time and would be so very interested - go here: www.amazingbutsuperlonganddetailedlifestory.com.
Or you can simply scroll on down for a brief synopsis.
(I hope you know I'm kidding about the life story thing - I might be a bit of a goof and socially awkward at times but I would not do something that ridiculous.)
So anyway... now for the serious part.
I have weathered some rather stormy seas. The darkness of depression and the agonies of anxiety have overwhelmed and nearly drowned me in their awful waves. I have felt alone, lost, hopeless. I have been frozen with fear. I have been under such anxiety it caused physical pain. I have wanted to give up and leave this world.
I have hated God and tried to run from Him.
But at a certain point, I realized running from God was not helping me any. I figured perhaps my only hope was to run to Him.
So I did.
I have been a follower of Jesus for some years now, and giving my life to Him was definitely the best decision I ever made. I finally know what it's like to experience hope, joy, comfort and peace.
Now understand, life is not perfect with God. We're still on earth after all. The struggles have not disappeared. But, when I turn to Him, God gives me the strength to face what I am up against and find victory in the battles. When I am trusting in Him I can have peace no matter the circumstances. And I have the hope for something more, something better, when I reach heaven.
As Jesus said, “I have said these things to you, that in me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation. But take heart; I have overcome the world.” John 16:33 (ESV)
Life will never be easy. It doesn't matter who you are - rich or poor, young or old, in good health or struggling with medical conditions, a holder of a doctorate degree or only a GED... whatever your situation, there will be stress. And there will be the need for something to satisfy.
And that is what this blog is about. Seeking for that satisfaction. Seeking beyond the sorrow to feel joy, beyond despair to grasp hope, beyond the pain to find comfort, beyond the tension to rest in the peace, beyond the boredom to thrill in excitement.
Whether you are a seasoned Christian, a new believer, or simply exploring God and what He is all about, whether you're slipping or firm in your faith in God, I invite you to go seek with me.
I hope you will come back to see my posts, be encouraged, and be challenged to seek beyond the ordinary and reach for the abundant life God offers. God bless!
